I spend far too much time staring at computers. It’s supposedly how I make my living. So whenever I get a few moments, I try to find something practical and physical to do, mostly involving wood. Wood is nice to handle, and I like seeing its form change as I play around. I’m not trained, and I frequently go about things the wrong way, but I still manage to make things that are functional and that sometimes look nice.
This shall be an occasional look at my various times spent messing about with wood. Sometimes I will write about a thing I have made, other times I’ll cover wood-related labours in the garden. Since I spend my days managing products, I will probably find myself from time to time comparing these wood projects to the processes and tasks I follow in my working life. I’ll try not to let work get in the way of having fun though.
